HAVERHILL – HC Media’s “Trash Toters: A User’s Guide”, as featured on the Haverhill Journal, took home the Honorable Mention award in the Public Education category at the 2017 National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) Government Programing Awards. This is the first time HC Media has received recognition from NATOA in its 29-year history.
The Government Programming Awards (GPAs) are annual awards that recognize excellence in broadcast, cable, multimedia and electronic programming produced by local public access, education and government agencies. This year, the GPAs received 919 individual entries from 133 organizations across the country. Categories cover a variety of programming including, among others, documentary, public affairs and public service, interview/talk show, performing arts, sports, and election coverage. Celebrating over 25 years of programming excellence, the GPAs celebrate the achievements of government programmers across the nation.
