Dedication of New Worshipping Oak – July 18, 2018 – The Haverhill Journal On the Go

Last April, Buttonwoods Museum suffered a tragic loss as the historic and beloved “Worshipping Oak Tree,” thought to be a religious meeting place for Haverhill’s first settlers, crashed to the ground during a storm. Now, Buttonwoods has planted a new Oak in its place, and The Haverhill Journal’s special correspondent Colin Kennedy was on hand as Reverend Donna Spencer Collins dedicated this new addition to Haverhill history.

Join us for new episodes of The Haverhill Journal On the Go every Wednesday, featuring Haverhill Journal stories both new and timeless.
