insPAWed: Episode Sixteen – Squirrel! A Dog Bistro. |
What happens when the dogs you love start changing the way you think about what goes into their bowls?
In Episode 16 of insPAWed, we sit down with Lindsey Brynjolfsson, founder of Squirrel: A Dog Bistro, to share the story of Hops, Barley, and Sasha, and how each became part of Lindsey’s journey.
Hops came into Lindsey’s life on the same day her father entered hospice and became her constant companion for the next 10 years. Later, when Barley began experiencing food sensitivities, Lindsey started looking more closely at what she was feeding her dogs and searching for better options.
Those experiences eventually helped inspire Squirrel: A Dog Bistro, a business built around thoughtfully made food and treats for dogs.
It’s a story about love, loss, asking better questions, and how the animals who walk beside us can quietly lead us somewhere we never expected to go.
insPAWed shares real stories of animals who inspire purpose in their humans, from businesses and nonprofits to healing work, creative paths, and community impact.
In this conversation with host Cyndie Morgan and co-host Nigel, we talk about how Hops and Barley shaped Lindsey’s path, how food sensitivities sparked a deeper look at canine nutrition, and how those experiences grew into Squirrel: A Dog Bistro.
