insPAWed: Episode Thirteen – Haley Miller and Kahlúa

In this episode of insPAWed, we sit down with Haley Miller, founder of Soul Dogs Resources & Rescue Centre, to share how one rescue dog changed the course of her life.

*Content Note:* This episode includes a personal discussion about suicide and mental health. Viewer discretion is advised.

When Haley met Kahlúa, he was shy, withdrawn, and wanted nothing to do with anyone. After spending two hours patiently sitting with him, Haley spoke his name, inspired by his beautiful coloring. Kahlúa looked up at her, and in that moment, she knew they belonged together.

Over the years, Kahlúa became far more than a companion. He became Haley’s service dog, her source of strength through life’s challenges, and the inspiration behind Soul Dogs Resources & Rescue Centre. Their journey transformed hardship into hope and inspired Haley to dedicate her life to helping both people and animals.

In this conversation with host Cyndie Morgan and co-host Nigel, we discuss the life changing bond between Haley and Kahlúa, the healing power of rescue dogs, the importance of mental health, and how one extraordinary connection became the foundation for a mission of service and compassion.
